How to Make a Mother's Day Card

Hi everyone!

Seeing as it's Mother's Day next Sunday, I thought I would show you how to make a simple, but pretty card for your mum.

Bunting Card for Mother's Day

You will need:
  • Scissors
  • Two types of patterned paper
  • Glue
  • A5 card and envelope
  • Black ink pen
  • Approx. 3cm strip of fabric, the width of the card (when landscape)
  • Piece of ribbon
  • A small button

1) Firstly, cut out 7 small triangles from one piece of paper, and 8 out of the other. Place 5 of these in a row at the top of the card near the fold (with the card landscape) and the other 10 underneath. Make sure you alternate between the two different patterns. Glue these onto the card.

2) Next, draw a line joining the tops of the two lines of bunting together. Write 'Happy Mothers Day' on the triangles, printing each separate letter on a triangle.

3) Then, glue the piece of fabric along the bottom of the card and trim the edges so that it is in line with the card's edge.

4) Once you have done this, glue the ribbon on the top edge of the fabric, covering the raw edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over the edge of the card and glue or tape to the back.

5) Finally, add a small white button onto the right-hand side of the ribbon.

And there is your quick and easy (but very pretty) Mother's Day Card!

Feel free to comment below to tell me how you got on.
