Egg Cosies!

Hello there,

I have been so busy for the last few weeks so I apologise for not posting! Anyway, seeing as it is nearly Easter, I made some cute egg cosies!!

Bunny and chick cosies!
These are so easy to make - all you need is some felt and a sewing machine (or you can sew them by hand).

For the chick, make a chick-shaped template  about 8cm wide and 7.5cm high (not including the size of the wings). Fold some yellow felt in half, pin the template on top and cut the pieces out. On one side, sew on a diamond shape in orange felt by sewing through the centre. Then embroider the eyes and machine stitch the front and back piece together.

For the bunny, cut out two semi-circle shapes 8cm wide and 7.5cm high. On the front piece, sew on a smaller semi-circle of pale pink felt for the tummy; two white paws either side of the tummy; and then embroider the eyes, nose and mouth. Then cut out two ear shapes out of white felt (about 6.5cm long) and two smaller ear shapes out of pale pink felt for inside the ears - sew these on top of the white pieces. Place the front and the back together and pin the ears between the two pieces on the curved edge and sew around the semi-circle shape.

How about make one of these for a friend - you could get them a pretty egg cup with an Easter egg inside and put the cosy on top!

Have a lovely Easter!
