Hi everyone!
I've been wanting to do this post for quite a while, but I'm afraid my haberdashery collection has been a bit of a mess. However, I eventually got round to going through all my fabric and other textiley bits and bobs and got rid of the things I don't want and made it all nice and tidy. All my fabric and haberdashery is on a single shelf in my wardrobe - nothing special but it is all in one place (and finally tidy!). So... here is my little collection of fabric and haberdashery.

The Shelf
Lightweight fabric |
Thicker fabric - I use these for doorstops, cushions etc. |
Some of my favourite fabrics... This one I picked up in Provence, Southern France |
This one was sent to me from a friend in Australia - I love the pretty design! |
My favourite of all time - Sanderson |
In this little box which I picked up in Ikea a few years ago I keep all my fat quarters and smaller pieces of fabric and felt - it's a great way to store fabric as you can easily pick out the pieces you want, plus it stays tidy and organised |
Some of my favourite fat quarters... |
I was given this little box last year - I decided to fill it to the brim with ribbon and trimmings! |
A paper bag of lavender to make my lavender bags (see my How To post here) |
These ones are actually ceramic buttons - they are so pretty and colourful! |
My trusty rotary cutter that I use for quilting and cutting fabric accurately |
'Built by Wendy Coats & Jackets' book - a wonderful book - full of fabulous patterns and ideas! (Also my sewing machine user guide - very useful to have handy when it's being stubborn...) |
And finally some embroidery hoops... |
I am forever expanding my fabric and haberdashery collection so I expect a few updated 'My Fabric & Haberdashery Collection' posts will be needed in the future!
Helen xx
